Dear Marley
A downloadable game
Dear Marley is a GM-less TTRPG for 1-3 players that can be completed in one sitting using this guidebook, a 6-sided die, and the 12 face cards of a standard playing deck. Players tell the story of a group of high school friends by responding to prompts and describing imagined yearbook photos. You do not need roleplaying experience to play. Just open the book and start to read.
It is the last day of high school, and everything is about to change. It’s time to say goodbye to friends, clean out lockers, sign yearbooks, and promise summer hangouts that won’t happen. But no goodbye is going to be as bittersweet as your goodbye to Marley.
Every friend group has their glue, and, for better or worse, Marley is definitely the glue holding yours together.
You flip through Marley’s yearbook, lingering on photos that tell stories of who you were together. And finally, just before the bell rings and it’s time to leave the school for good, you sign Marley’s yearbook and say what you need to say...
